Ninety percent of NYC office buildings are in distress. The overall vacancy rate is above 22 percent. They’ve shed $76 billion in value. In San Francisco, vacancies are 30 percent and hotel room revenues are down 30%.
NY and SF thought they were invincible and that businesses and residents would take unlimited abuse. Covid taught the world that we actually don’t need either of them.
Imagine, if you will, America without the pervasive oversight of The Federal Government. All Fed agencies just GONE. Nadda, zilch gone.
What a beautiful site it would be.....
