back in the day, I played basketball (not long) at 118 degrees-ish in Lake Havasu City.
My only advice? Never wear cheap sneakers on asphalt in extremely hot weather.

Good morning. When my son was playing lots of baseball and traveling to tournaments..we would put spray bottles of water in a cooler and spray the guys a lot while in the dug-outs. Especially coming off the field. You are soooo right about good shoes.
We bought my son an Under Armour tank for under his shirt while pitching and he claims life hasn't been the same for him. Today at 35 he still will only wear Under Armour..pitched the other night in a wooden bat league. His days are numbered for pitching because of a bad knee. Of course its the knee he lands on during his delivery.
