Good grief! 114! We’d all keel over and die up here if we hit temps like that. You guys are a tough lot - and people did this BEFORE air-conditioning as well!

I know, I don’t know how they did it before A/C. But I’ve been in California desert, and Arizona, when it was 120°. I was younger then, it was still unbearable.

Yes we did. Before our little desert area got irrigation we would have 110 degrees often in the summer. No air in cars either. We had the little wing windows.
My mother would put cold damp towel hanging over a fan to help cool us down.
