We owned and raced horses during the 60s thru the 80’s. Raced mainly in CA. Once we moved to AZ we pretty much gave up the owner side of it. The purses at Turf Paradise and Prescott Downs would hardly pay the training and vet bills.
Father in Law once raced a horse in the Kentucky Derby it was fun, but the horse did not do well.
I never did ride not even the tame saddle horses. Sounds like you were quite the rider.

Hey Rusty....well, Jane did go back and listen to Judas, and he DID say the Trump/Pence Administration, so we have to be honest. This, however, only makes him slightly less of a slimy, self-seeking, sleazy politician. He is still yammering on about accomplishments of Trump and Pence. These were HARDLY Pence’s accomplishments. This was 100% MAGA Trump. Pence just went along for the ride. My goodness, as if Pence in any way was the lightning rod who brought this about. Michael Moore made that great Trump ad (unbeknownst to him) about Trump being the giant F you to the political class. The molotov cocktail being throw at the elite.....they sure as hell weren’t talking about Flyhead.

My uncle’s place was in Modesto, raced mostly in California too.
I had a job interview once, and they asked me what experience in life best qualified me for management. Even though I had been in management positions before, I told them training horses was the best experience. You learn what makes a horse do what you want them to do, and they do it without even realizing you’re manipulating them. They thought that was hilarious and later told me that was one reason they hired me.

Virtually everyone is saying that the Indictment is about Election Interference & should not have been brought, except Bill Barr, a “disgruntled former employee” & lazy Attorney General who was weak & totally ineffective. He doesn’t mean what he’s saying, it’s just MISINFORMATION.Barr’s doing it because he hates “TRUMP” for firing him. He was deathly afraid of the Radical Left when they said they would Impeach him. He knows the Indictment is Bull…. Turn off FoxNews when that “Gutless Pig” is on!

Trump should have added that Barr participated in the coverup of the laptop and election interference. Barr is a criminal.

That sounds like a wonderful reason to hire you. They were smart people. Envy you being able to train horses. Training horses was left to my father- in- law and brother- in- law. Did you run horses at Bay Meadows or Golden Gate? We raced mainly in Southern CA. Did you race there?

California Bill Would Punish Parents For Misgendering Children
Proposed by Democratic Assemblymember Lori Wilson and state Senator Scott Weiner (who last year suggested “offering Drag Queen 101 as part of the K-12 curriculum, introduced a bill that grants judicial leniency to certain pedophiles, and who was accused of a hate-crime hoax), AB957 amends the state Family Code addressing the “health, safety and welfare of the child” in every household.
Under the code, courts would be given complete authority to remove children from their homes if their parents refuse to affirm their gender. It would also require schools, churches and other organizations to follow suit or face repercussions for ‘impacting the health, safety and welfare of [a] child.’
Individuals and organizations who refuse or do not acknowledge a child’s gender identity could potentially face abuse charges, however, a spokesperson for Rep. Wilson’s office said the bill only applies to family law and not criminal law.
The revisions have already been slammed by those who say the state should not step into private residences to monitor each child’s gender and their parents’ response.
Nicole Peterson, founder of Facts Law Truth Justice, told the Daily Signal that the law is ‘horrifying’ and troublesome for parents everywhere.

No, my uncle and cousin raced horses, yes at Golden Gate. I just rode for pleasure when I was young. When I went to my uncle’s sometimes I’d ride their lead horses. then got into training later, mostly for ranchers in Texas, and for people with horse problems. I had horses of my own for pleasure riding. One horse I owned was the most perfectly trained horse I ever knew, if I may brag. I only used halters on my own horses, no bits, but I had
her trained to where she knew what I wanted her to do with my own body movements. Rarely had to even use reins. She knew how fast to go by how I sat.

It made me think of how easy life would be if men could be as easy to work with lol! Running for cover, having made that remark.....especially before exit sees it!
