Interesting, thanks.
Good article.
I caught some of that. Yowser.
I hope that weasel DeSwamptis is proud of himself for throwing division into the right at this most crucial time.
Maddow said the quiet part out loud.....
If Trump drops out of the race this will all go away.
“DeSwamptis” is the best nickname for DeSantis I have heard thus far! I wish you could suggest it to Trump.
I think WEF rep Trudeau is promoting the climate change crap, has had these fires set, and will exploit them for continued “carbon taxes”, which the right has promised to eliminate if “elected”, plus I am betting it’s going to lead to the big climate change mask donning, lockdown crap.
As I’ve said, I’m 70 years old in September, and I am fairly up on current events and always have been. I have NEVER heard of a wild fire season, and certainly not in Quebec. It’s just not that hot and dry up there. Now, I’ve heard about the odd fire here and there over the years, mostly out west, but nothing like a constant and ongoing yearly problem.
This is the environmental equivalent of the pandemic.

They’re charging Trump knowing he’s innocent as a smoke screen for Joe Biden’s crimes because they know he’s guilty.

The summons sent to former President Donald Trump and his legal team late Thursday indicates that U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon will be assigned to oversee his case, at least initially, according to sources briefed on the matter.
Cannon’s apparent assignment would add yet another unprecedented wrinkle to a case involving the first federal charges against a former president: Trump appointed Cannon to the federal bench in 2020, meaning that, if Trump is ultimately convicted, she would be responsible for determining the sentence β which may include prison time β for the man who elevated her to the role.
A federal grand jury voted to indict Trump on at least seven federal charges late Thursday as part of an investigation into his handling of classified documents, sources familiar with the matter told ABC News. The indictment comes after more than 100 documents with classified markings were found at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in August 2022.
Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and claimed again late Thursday that he was innocent.
Cannon is no stranger to the case. The 42-year-old judge appointed a “special master” last year to review those materials seized from Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. Legal experts accused Cannon of handing Trump a series of head-scratching victories over the course of those proceedings.

That’s an interesting twist.

Trump made some terrible judicial picks (see everyone on DC District).
Aileen Cannon was one of his best. She called bullsh*t on DOJs classified docs case from start.
