Woman With 'Unusual Strength' Claiming to Be a God Fights Multiple Cops
Newsweek ^ | 12/13/2022 | Chloe Mayer

A Florida woman who claimed to be an Egyptian god was unaffected by a stun gun and had to be held down by multiple cops as they arrested her in Miami Beach over the weekend.

The bizarre incident unfolded on Sunday afternoon when officers were called to reports of a disturbance at Espanola Way and Washington Avenue.

According to the arrest report, Emily Thomas Lochten, 26, stopped her car in traffic, exited the vehicle, and began screaming in the street. She allegedly became increasingly enraged and slammed the hoods of passing cars before attacking a nearby Cuban restaurant, officers stated in the report that was cited by local news channel WPLG.

Lochten, of Boynton Beach, Florida slammed tables and hurled dishes and cups at customers at the eatery, then slapped the hand of the restaurant's manager when he asked her to leave, officers said.

But when a cop tried to take her into custody, she allegedly became even more "aggressive and hostile" and slapped his face. The officer deployed his Taser, but it failed to stun her, and she then managed to evade a second officer by aiming a blow at him, which he managed to dodge, the report states.

She showed "unusual strength" possibly as a result of "an unknown substance," the account of the arrest added.

It reportedly took multiple officers to eventually subdue Thomas Lochten and get the handcuffs on her, and she had to be restrained on a stretcher taken from a fire truck. Officers claimed she was screaming that she was related to the late rapper Tupac Shakur and was also "a God from ancient Egypt who could take on all of us."

The brain damage is visible from without. No need for a scan.

Remember that 1978 movie....’Death Drug’?

Whole movie was about PCP and how a guy got addicted. Still impresses my mind five decades later.

Hitler did it, that’s why his troops were seemingly invincible. It was meth.

I sat in a base theater and watched it as a late show. Freaked me out and at the time, I thought PCP was just a made-up thing.

Meth was a Japanese invention. Armies used it to keep men awake.

I could be wrong, but I'd be willing to wager that a bowling-ball stick to the cranium would work a lot better than a 'stun gun'.

Of course, to crack this worthless POS' head open would be 'racist', or something...

Here is a place to start.

Thanks! I didn't want to register to read that article but what I could glean from the abstract was what I already understood... that amphetamines are used to keep men awake and moving.

People use phrases like "super human strength" when what they actually are talking about is someone so drugged that they do not feel pain and they have an enormous amount of adrenaline pumping.

Not feeling pain enables a person to do things that a sober person could do with protective equipment. It doesn't give them a 10 foot vertical leap, or an ability to break handcuff chains.

She did not go down from the pain of the taser because the drugs she was on set the pain aside.

My understanding of how a taser works is it interrupts electrical signals from the brain which control muscle movement. The properly tased person just drops to the ground and twitches.

A person not responding to being tased automatically raises the question of whether they had been properly tased... two darts from a fully functional device firmly embedded in tissue.

You ignored the "adrenaline pumping" part of it.

Your body is designed to allow you to do amazing things in order to live.

And yes if you can not feel the pain you can break at least some handcuff chains. You stop pulling because you are tired and it hurts. If you are not feeling the pain or the weariness you can keep going until your bones break. And your bones are incredibly strong.
