Did Cruz support Trump in his efforts to expose the 2020 stolen election? Or did Cruz poo-poo Trump’s accusations of vote fraud? I can’t remember.
If he denied the stolen election...the same Blue Steamroller is heading straight for him...and it is only fitting.
What Cruz did was save the country. At 3:30 in the morning Schumer tried to run through a unanimous consent vote that would have nationalized election law. Cruz was there to stop that vote. https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/ted-cruz-voting-chuck-schumer
Here are the Texans who voted to object to certifying the election results on Jan. 6, 2020:
Sen. Ted Cruz
Rep. Louie Gohmert of Tyler
Rep. Pat Fallon of Sherman
Rep. Lance Gooden of Terrell
The late Rep. Ron Wright of Arlington
Rep. August Pfluger of San Angelo
Rep. Ronny Jackson of Amarillo
Rep. Randy Weber of Friendswood
Rep. Pete Sessions of Waco
Rep. Jodey Arrington of Lubbock
Rep. Troy Nehls of Richmond
Rep. Roger Williams of Austin
Rep. Michael Burgess of Lewisville
Rep. Michael Cloud of Victoria
Rep. John Carter of Round Rock
Rep. Brian Babin of Woodville
Rep. Beth Van Duyne of Irving
Cruz did not say the election was stolen but that it needed to be investigated and never has been. The investigations that did take place were mostly fake and pointless.
My recollection is that Ted straddled the fence somewhat. Given the pressures that Democrats brought to bear, that was an act of courage. He had few Republican Senators in his corner. He was facing Democrats, many Republicans, and Pence.
