Awe Melian, that one always gets me.
Mom was widowed with 4 children, ages 2, 4, 6, and 8.
She had no job, home with the kids, tough times for sure, lots of baloney and toast with ketchup on top.
She finally got a job in a factory.
She did the best she could, and I think a darn good job. We didn’t know we were poor. But we were loved.
Used to get underwear for Christmas, was welcomed.
