“Well my roots are Scottish Irish so the Pipes have a special place for me.”
Me too. Mostly Scots/Irish with some Dane, Norman, and Welsh tossed in. I traced us back to the 12th Century Scotland. When I was 17, I was obviously Scottish with a mountain of red hair. Even now, the first thing my skin doctor said when he did an exam was, “let me guess, Scottish?”. LOL He said I had skin that should never see the sun.
Until his dying day, my grandfather called city people “lowlanders” or “flatlanders”. The Irish comes from my grandmother’s side. They named all of their female dogs Lassie, regardless of what breed they were.
If you like Scottish music, check out Scottish Melody by Legendary Vocals and Amazing Grace by Il Divo. A little bit of pipes in Amazing Grace.

Oh can I relate with ‘skin never seeing the sun’....Once I at lunch in my car at work...the sun was beating on right leg. I was there just 15 minutes and ended up with pantyhose pattern on my thigh from the burn. But my hair has only just a little red highlights.
II Divo Rocks!
how does one know if the pipes are out of tune?
Speaking of Scots\Irish...It’s tuff being a Scot Irish alcoholic....you want a drink but don’t want to pay for it.
One of my favorite live bands (in kilts), Off Kilter. Loads of fun and talented too.
