I’m given to understand that it was McCarthy who offered to close out all redress of the debt again, until January, 2025!
That move leaves even more trillions in spending unchecked, and also every spending increase that Biden demanded on certain give aways.
McCarthy had to use Hareem Jefferies to mick with the Rules to override Republican objections to end debt limiting discussion. McCarthy said he feared it might make us look bad in 2024.
Further, it is thouggt unlikely McCarthy can be vacated. The Democrats should be pleased to count on keeping him during any crunch times.
This is the heart of the matter; McCarthy is a donkey in elephant's clothing. Just like the Texas Republican House Speaker turned the legislature over to the Dems. We are completely betrayed by the Whig Party at every level.
It is true that there is doubt that the House Freedom Caucus has the gravitas to get McCarthy removed as Speaker; obviously McCarthy does not think so.
The worthless Whigs are crashing the Republic into either slavery or civil war.
The incredible thing is that ONE MAN has totally defeated the American Republic: George S0r0s. History will convulse with contempt for us.
But the true battle has been spiritual!
