Pittsburgh police are investigating a home invasion and shooting in the 7500 block of Bennett Street in the city's Homewood neighborhood.
A source tells Pittsburgh's Action News 4 reporter Marcie Cipriani that a homeowner fired a gun at two intruders, one of whom was shot and the other fled.
Police confirmed that someone was found dead next to a house on the street. The Allegheny County medical examiner has since identified that person as 18-year-old Sir Morgan, of Pittsburgh.
No cause or manner of death has been released in Morgan's death. No additional information has been released as police continue to investigate.
How dare you shoot a mostly peaceful uninvited visitor!
Took his royal azz out. Life of crime leads to dead end.
That names is fairly common in the English speaking dark and dusky parts of the Caribbean. The stiff might be Jamaican.
That theory is often correct.
Of course, robbers can get the wrong address, just like SWAT teams sometimes do. Even more so. And some criminals simply like to do robberies. They are in it for the excitement.
It kind of sucks when the resident is actually an innocent victim. That usually gets straightened out pretty quickly though. Just need to get past some awkward questions and unexpected rudeness from the officers.
Either way, having a dead robber is a good outcome.
