Loneliness probably affects social type people.

If one prefers to be a hermit, one never feels "lonely".

‘If one prefers to be a hermit, one never feels “lonely”

very true; for some, myself included, someone else’s loneliness is our normal...

I’ve often wondered how vacant a person’s self worth is if they need others in order to produce daily stimulation...

What this probably means is that people die if there is no one around to call an ambulance for them when they have an accident or a heart attack. There’s no one to make sure they take their medications. Nobody to make sure they’re eating decently.

A bit of a negative twist on the distinction between being alone and being lonely. I’d go nuts if I had to yack yack with people all the time.
