I too, refused to take bp medicine. I swear by beet root juice, turmeric milk, clove tea, or hibiscus tea. I don’t use all of them everyday but alternate for variety. I switched to decaf coffee too. It’s kept my bp at a reasonable level in addition to other benefits. Now, if I could only stop smoking.....

I’ve heard about beet root juice, think I might give it a whirl! Turmeric is very beneficial and was recommended by a FRiend here, I’ll have to look up Turmeric milk; is “milk” milk-milk or just a descriptive?
BTW, I quit smoking in 2017 after my bout with pneumonia. Quit cold turkey and every time I had a craving, which was often, I’d tell my self “you can’t be craving that, you don’t smoke”. LOL. I still get that craving once in a great while.
I switched from beet root juice powder and purchased beet root gummies instead. I eat one per day. Appears to work as well. Just took my bp, 115/62. Much better than my last reading at the doctor’s office (174/88).

The dog he has now is 10 years old and was diagnosed with cancer about 8 months ago.
I mentioned this to my friend who is a dog whisperer. She told me to tell her to give the dog Turkey Tail mushrooms.
She asked her vet and the vet said to go ahead and try it, she did with all the other meds they had issued for the dog, mostly pain meds as the dog was limping, like the others did.
She did, the dog is now cancer free.
I mentioned it to a naturalist med student and she agreed with my dog whisperer friend.
It is for also for humans as well as you can buy for animals.
Also recommended for immune system build up is Tart Cherry Juice, which can also be taken in pill form.

Re quitting smoking
I quit 40+ years ago. Everytime I wanted to smoke, I’d crochet. I made a HUGE blanket that could cover the world. Amazing thing, though, sometimes I have a desire to smoke, but I don’t. It was too hard to break that addiction.
