.. checking in from lurkdom ... re: internet/cell - we’ve had ATT Uverse for years. Our daughter just moved 3 miles from our house and has gotten Starlink - the portable unit.

Her internet speed is off the charts. It would cost us about $50 more per month to switch to that ourselves, but we would turn off our business line and more than make up the difference as hubby wants to stop taking new customers.

Trying to decide about cell coverage - the sim card you mentioned with T-Mobile might work for us. Planning a trip to the UK in the fall so I’m hesitant to turn off the AT&T wireless until after that since we can use those over there for $10 a day.

I had ATT Cell service for years & it was quite reliable even off the main trail everywhere I went in the USA.

my problem with ATT was the surprise billing. getting the bill jacked up in my face by 30-40% every year & then haggling with them to get a 20% customer loyalty discount.

got tire of the hassle & fight so quittum.

just started with t mobile, but happy so far.
