The only thing I don’t or won’t eat are cucumbers. I can’t stand the smell long enough to be in the kitchen with them long enough to make pickles and I love pickles.

I’m the same way! I love pickles but not cucumbers. The worst are when they are hidden in a salad.

SweetiePalm's family is from Hungary. She makes cucumber salad that is fabulous.

She slices cucumber paper thin on the mandolin and then salts it. After about an hour she rinses it thoroughly and drains it well. She then mixes in finely sliced garlic, a little vinegar and sour cream.

I love the stuff. Hungarians are big on pork. The two go great together.
