We took the van to the shop. The Check Engine light is still on, but it no longer feels like it’s “missing.” On the other hand, every time I drive it, it feels like something is terribly wrong, because things keep going wrong.
Well, even if the check engine light is off, it could mean something isn’t right, and that it needs a thorough checkup before you drive it again for any distance. It could be something as simple as needing fluids or something complex like needing a new set of head gaskets.
I’m glad you have reliable mechanics! They will know what to check for and how to fix it, and I’m pretty sure they’ll tell you if you need to just junk it and spring for a new one.
The laundry has been hung up to dry. I’d like to hang it outside but it would not dry as the humidity is way up, as usual, and mostly cloudy skies. The last time I hung up my clothes was in Vegas.
I stayed home from church, but I would rather have gone. Sometimes, I just have to do the smart thing, and not the desired thing. As long as I “play” within the parameters of CFIDS, I can have an almost normal life.
That means, of course, cutting a social life almost completely out of the equation. And surprises. Surprises are never any good.
I didn’t have too much trouble with the Wordle but the first row was surprising. I tossed in a second word “for effect” and the answer almost hit me smack in the face!
Good job you! You’re getting good at this Wordle thingy.
Good morning, everyone. Happy Monday!
I’m running late here today because reasons. It’s not at all related to my trying to give myself an extra finger with a hedge trimmer this weekend. But that’s making typing interesting.
Other than a big bandage and a sensitive finger tip there’s no news from the deep blue.
I took a while with today’s Wordle. I got a 4 for my 500th game. Current streak is 314.
Distribution:
1 - 1
2 - 22
3 - 126
4 - 191
5 - 128
6 - 30
So Wordle is still flipping me off.

Today it’s always chaper to repair than replace. The decision is whether you want something less cantankerous or not. And whether you want new tech.
So. Being among the 10-fingered wasn’t enough for you, eh? Sorry about your mishap. I hate when I do stuff like that!
Congratulations on your 500th game! I think Wordle flips everyone off!
Did you decide if you’re going to quit playing the game?
I don’t even know what my real stats are. If I had registered a while back, I’d know for sure, but I didn’t want their ads. So I’m going on the stats I began copying when I tried to make the game easier for myself. All I know for sure is, I’ve played 427 games, with 288 since the last time I got X/6. The rest of the stats are all messed up, what with the new memory and the last “upgrade” from MS shortly after.
That is true for so much in life...
Good thing that you didn’t do more damage... that trouble typing reminds me of the time when I was using Portland cement to make a shower pan and didn’t understand that it would remove the skin from all of my fingertips... it happened at a time in my life that typing on a keyboard was what I did for about 10 hours each day... made it tough for about 2 weeks...
I need 15 more to hit my 500th Wordle game... will post the tally then...
You can’t complain too much about your results... almost 70% of your scores are in the 4 rows or less grouping...
👍🏻
Dan at Red Rock Auto says he can clean and rejigger something for a fairly reasonable price. Also that I was right about its being caused by the battery repair, even though all the mansplainers said that’s impossible.
Humpth.
I’ve finished weeding my vegetable gardens. I’ll water them this evening, if it doesn’t rain.
Sometimes, the mansplainers spend too much time listening to their committees and not enough time listening to Spock the Logical of Star Trek. Humpth is right.
Your letter is currently waiting for the mail carrier to pick it up and send it on its merry way. Maybe it will get there by Friday. Arkansas has a real slow system for everything. So the best I can tell you is to just look for it from Wednesday on...
Now I’m going to make the bed, but I really want to take another nap. *yawn*
I could take a nap.
It occurs to me that people who are puzzled about how the multiverse works have probably never been introduced to the machinations of the U. S. Postal Service.
I’m never puzzled by the US Postal Service. Since I moved here, they have proved to me beyond the shadow of a doubt that they are unpredictable, unprepared and anti-human. I used to think meter maids were bad. The USPS here can teach them some lessons.
I don’t complain about the scores. I was never a genius.
I feel better than the programmer who had some mirror glass go between the two bones of his forearm.
For a while he was supporting the project “single-handedly.”
Monday, Monday,
So good to me...
Been gorgeous weather all weekend long and shaping up to be another gem, today. Blue skies and warm with a light breeze warding off the swelter. Heat and A/C 100% shut down, and I’m hopeful this will last a few weeks before the Summertime furnace flares up in earnest.
