Funding for ongoing construction at the FBI campus on Redstone Arsenal has now exceeded $3 billion.
As part of the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill passed by Congress last month, $652 million was allocated for FBI construction at the Army post in Huntsville, according to a press release last month from former Sen. Richard Shelby, who retired this week.

It gets expensive teaching chimpanzees how to identify a JaySixer in large crowds.
Unbelievable. THREE BILLION dollars for an office complex. And this has flown under the radar for how many years?
No IRS.. FBI.
Upside. The next President could shut down the DC headquarters as a first move in draining the swamp.
Congress needs to cut funding for this.
Indoor rifle ranges; saunas on every floor; Toto toilets, bidets, large showers & bathtubs, marble sinks in every restroom; lounges and bars plush with velvet and gold (real) trim, overnight “sleeping accommodations” - all add up real quick.
ya, cuz GSA only has 100,000,000 sq ft of vacant office space.......
What? No chefs with ten gourmet selections every day at lunch?
They are probably training on an Active Denial System out there.
Fill the J. Edgar Bldg with illegal alien invaders and homeless.
Redstone Arsonal has good people there, that design rockets and do real science.
What the **** is the FBI doing there? Such corruption and butt-kissing cannot but influence real people in a bad way.
Flush the I.
That’s because the FBI building in DC is completely abandoned with sand bags ringing the foundation. They’ve mostly been moved to Huntsville.
Next GOP president needs to issue an executive order disarming the FBI
they may not carry, hold or train on any weapons at all.
If they need to conduct potentially dangerous raids, they can do so in cooperation with local and state police or Federal Marshals.
Not surprising. It costs serious money to build an American Lubyanka. All that soundproofing, so that no one can hear the screaming of the political prisoners being tortured and held without trial.

You obviously have never been in a federal office building.
BTW, the majority of the buildings at Redstone were built in the late 50s. The contract called for three months construction time from ground breaking to occupancy.
To be accepted into the FBI, candidates must be able to do one push-up with no time limit.

Rename the base Fort One Push-up.
Well the good news is thus does get them further away from DC.
That was one of Trumps goals...
I’ve been in plenty of Federal buildings, most of which you would not be able to enter. However, what I wrote was a spoof on spending so many billions of dollars on a new building when their old one works just fine.
Putting the FBI on a US military installation. Isn’t that a potential violation of Posse Comitatus?
