“Bud Light’s partnership with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney was dismissed by Anheuser-Busch’s CEO as a one-off and nothing more, but Daily Wire host Michael Knowles is skeptical.
In a tweet thread Monday, Knowles pointed out that Bud Light’s European parent company AB InBev is pushing a wide-ranging LGBTQ and DEI agenda. AB InBev’s 2022 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report shows that the company is openly going along with the World Economic Forum (WEF) by promoting leftist agenda items ranging from climate change and censorship to diversity goals and radical gender”
There’s lots of the beer is in the supply chain...not all of the stuff sitting in warehouses or being transported by trucks is subject to the boycott... yet.
What kind of person would want to be seen holding a beer that screamed ‘sexual weirdo/groomer’...
The wife and I were at the supermarket last night. I made it a point to swing by the beer aisle. No real visible difference on the shelves.
We were checking out. In front of us was what I could only describe as an old queen. A short, butchy haircut, but with green highlights, the keytag hanging out of his pocket was a rainbow. He was wearing a tie-dyed wife beater and way too short shorts. He pulled a twelve(?) pack of Bud Light out of the cart to be scanned. The employee, who looked a little light in the loafers himself, shook his head and chuckled. Mr. Green Hair said “Yeah, I don’t like the crap, but we have to do our part.”
THAT’S why it is only down 30%.
Gays are about 2% of the population... what they buy or not on a national scale is insignificant.
Memorial Day is Armageddon for Bud. If they don’t right the ship by then their stock is going to plummet. In fact, never has there been a better time to short the stock.
July 4th is coming up too...
For a major corporation like Anheuser-Busch, that is a major, major disaster.
The numbers may not seem that impressive but having worked for large corporations most of my life in a management role, even flat sales will get all hands on deck to find out what is going on.
I've seen heads roll with 5% growth (when forecast was for 10%).
If this sales decline continues, they are going to have to do some major downsizing at breweries and with corporate staff. Unless this turns around quick, you are going to see thousands of people lose their jobs.
I feel sorry for those people as they had nothing to do with this epicly bad marketing decision.
And the fact a substantial number of people don’t even know about this.
