Someone who's compromised and doesn't have a choice? It's possible that, left to his own devices, DeSantis probably would have waited until 2028 and simply walked into the Presidential nomination, probably WITH President Trump's endorsement. His discovered association with the Bush family is highly suspicious. He's either compromised or incredibly stupid for believing he had the clout to overcome the genuine love for President Trump. I'd like to think that the WH knew all along that DeSantis was a bit of a fraud and set up the circumstances to expose him. I suppose that would be the stuff of spy novels though.

Exactly what I have been thinking no changes at all. DeSantis had to know who Bush was and is. And, if he didn't he does not belong in politics. Also,as you say he could have walked into the Presidency in 2028 simply by helping Trump. But he chose not to help the one man who actually put him into office.That sorta says it all to me.

Seems like trump exposed desantis as someone who would drop his pants rather that fight the corruption of the DS for the American people.
