Most of what I learned from my “elders” is in my head. I guess it’s a Scottish tradition to pass things down verbally.
My daughter wants me to put all of what I was told in a journal, even my great-grandfathers tales of the Civil War. LOL He passed when I was in the 3rd grade in 1963 but told me a lot about life in the South after the WAR. He was born in 1865 and grew up in the post war South. Back then, you depended on nature to stay alive, not doctors.
Do it !!! It will be a priceless treasure-trove of knowledge. Don't run the risk of that invaluable info being lost. Your daughter has an excellent idea.
