Exactly. When all of this blew up I decided to see what the hullabaloo was all about and and downloaded it. I was prepared for an endless stream of ghetto, twerking, etc.
I was astonished that it was uplifting, and filled with cool cooking ideas, positive relationship advice, prayer, positive thinking ideas, household ideas, animals, comedy, you name it. Very quickly it sees what you enjoy and feeds you that. The only negative is that it is addicting and you can burn through a lot of time. In a waiting room it’s great... at work not so much. But the weird part is when you put it down, you feel good, maybe even positive. Not anxious, empty and irritated the way Facebook leaves you.
the reality here is that it has utterly surpassed the insidious Zuckerberg instagram and the archaic Facebook.
Zuckerberg called his bought and paid for Congressfools and wanted his competitors snuffed out.
So SUDDENLY, Congress cares about social media content. I suspect it is that it is hard for our FBI and CIA to direct content on Tiktok.
One other point, since when does Congress care about Chinese influence? This is silencing a competitor of Zuckerburg.
I also never understood the security threat that Tik-Tok supposedly brings. Does the CCP really want to know when my kid puts down her phone for the night or what my wifi password is? All the articles I've read about this threat never detail what the security hack is for my family of for the country.
