A few days ago, the Minnesota State Senate passed, and Gov. Tim Walz signed into law, the Trans Refuge Act, a piece of legislation that allows the state to remove children from parents opposed to the LGBT agenda — specifically the sexual mutilation, exploitation, and abuse of children under the banner of “gender-affirming” care.

I had considered that point of but most people who have generations of history in the state will not just leave nor should they.
The people of Minnesota should fight for their state.

I respect and totally understand your point. Its not easy to leave, especially when you have roots in the area, but the grass can be greener in other places in my experience.

Civil wars have been fought over less than this.
It is long past time that those with traditional Christian values fight those who denigrate those values.
If you want your children to share your values you have to fight in the marketplace of ideas or those values will be lost.
Yes you have to chose your battles and no when to flee that you can fight again. But, you have to stand and fight where you can.

There comes a time when evil people need to be permanently removed. Nazis, communists and 1776 British occupiers of the colonies come to mind. When will Americans determine that there are grossly evil men and women in government who need to be imprisoned or executed? 1776 needs to be repeated!! Like the British empire seemed insurmountable, so do the godless internal forces arrayed against God-fearing Americans.
Our government, media, education system and many corporations - have become wholly corrupt and evil.
To date, there has been a lack of coordination and strategy among God-fearing Americans for defeating our common enemy.

To me its a question of livability and the quality of life. I like to feel comfortable where I live.
When my values, well-being and safety are threatened its time to give some consideration to changing things.
Similar to being in a job/company that is going in a direction and/or environment that is contrary to your aspirations. It may be time to re-examine your commitment rather than endure or “fight the system”, which can take its toll on you.
Again, I sympathize with your plight. But I’ve faced similar situations (where I lived and worked) and found new places to be a step forward. JMHO

Its not just that. There’s a lack of will.
And remember, in any contest those with the greatest will to win usually do.
The bill, HF 146, creates a new category by which Minnesota courts can seize emergency jurisdiction over minors. Before this bill was passed, the law recognized only abandonment and abuse as grounds for a court taking custody of a child. This bill adds a third category, “The child has been unable to obtain gender-affirming health” (Section 3.3). If a child is prevented from receiving “gender-affirming care,” then the state has a right to take emergency custody. This is a draconian measure that undermines parental authority.
In Minnesota, refusing to provide puberty blockers and genital mutilation is now the legal equivalent of physically abusing a child. It is now grounds for the state to take emergency custody of children.
Not in a civilized country. What type of people allows this?

The major constitutional problem concerning this situation imo is that we have a Congress controlled by corrupt, feuding, constitutionally undefined political parties, that cannot be trusted to do their constitutionally enumerated duties to not only guarantee each state a republican form of government, but also use their 14th Amendment power to strengthen protections that the states have amended the Constitution to expressly protect, religious expression in this example.
"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphases added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

"Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States [emphasis added]; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

Regarding 1st Amendment-protected religious expression, Congress is also ignoring that Mark 7:11-13 shows us that Jesus reprimanded the Pharisees for driving a wedge between parents and their children (my wording), wrongly nullifying the "Honor your father and mother" commandment by doing so.
Democratic and RINO patriots basically need to give up on their beloved state and federal career lawmakers and executives since they have repeatedly proven that they cannot be trusted to remedy bad government policy, and primary ALL state and federal incumbent lawmakers and executives with true, Constitution-respecting patriots in 2024.
