Gov. Greg Abbott sparks outrage after calling San Jacinto County victims ‘illegal immigrants’
In a tweet about the reward, the Texas governor pointed out that the 9-year-old boy, three women and a man shot to death were here illegally.
It was his reference to the victims as “illegal immigrants” that triggered a heated response and over 14,000 comments as of Monday morning, many of them critical of the governor.
“Why is it relevant to call these people illegal immigrants? Why is it relevant to bring up immigration status? What the governor and everybody should be focused on is catching the murderer who committed this heinous act,” Cesar Espinosa, with FIEL, said.
Espinosa said the comments make those who might know the suspect less inclined to come forward out of fear that they could be arrested.

Gov Abbott getting blasted, for speaking the truth.
I see similar comments on Nextdoor, Instagram, etc. from folks within a relatively short driving distance of our community.
What used to be solid RED areas, in TX, are being infiltrated with blue state, brain dead lib transplants, illegals, etc., and, shame any mention of FACTUAL info, on forums.
They don’t get that the crimes of third world countries are HERE, due to open borders and lib thinking. Not a good combination, at all.

From what I heard they caught the guy hiding not to far away in a closet with clothes piled over him. He was being helped out plus he was also an ILLEGAL.
We call them that because that is what they are.
Rusty it makes me boil does it you? when people think that calling someone illegal is an awful thing to say. Grrrr!!!!
