Thank you! This is important, and not just for COVID. My DIL friend’s mom died at our hospital a few weeks ago. She had gone to the emergency room for something, forgot what but nothing major. She a mild Parkinson disease and was on medication for it with her regular doctor. The hospital doctor, for some unknown reason, decided to double her dose without consulting her or her doctor. It killed her, the day before she was supposed to go home.
The daughter has got an attorney working on a malpractice suit, but that doesn’t bring her mom back.
One of the dumbest things at my brief stint at the hospital: it was 2:30 AM and they kept waking me up because the EKG kept getting unplugged. The nurse came in and asked if I was ok, and I asked her Melatonin. She said no sleep aids after 1:00, but I could have an oxycotin. I asked what was the logic that I can’t have an OTC natural sleep aid but I can have an opioid. She said so I’d be ready for my day. I asked, “what day?”.
