This is the disturbing moment Steven Crowder berates his heavily-pregnant wife for not 'performing her wifely duties'.
In the video obtained by journalist Yashar Ali and posted to his Substack, the YouTuber, 35, can be seen on shocking new Ring footage laying into Hilary as she struggles to stand while nearly eight months pregnant with twins.
He bans her from using their only car to go grocery shopping - because it would mean he could not go to the gym - and tells her to feed their dogs medicine that she feared would be toxic for their unborn children.
She finally snaps at him saying 'your abuse is sick' but later backs down and repeatedly tells him she loves him while he continues to lay into her while smoking a cigarette.
It comes after Crowder revealed on Tuesday his wife had filed for divorce in 2021 and claimed he had been 'living with a proverbial boot on my neck for years'.
The Ring camera footage, taken on June 26, 2021, shows Crowder sitting on their back patio smoking as Hilary, wearing a shirt showing off her large bump, prepares to leave the house.
As she reaches for the keys, Crowder could be seen insisting she not take their only car, saying: 'I drew a boundary. You are not taking the car.'
When Hilary asks why she can't take the car to get groceries, Crowder replies: 'Because if you refuse to do wifely things then I will go get the groceries.'
He also asks her whether she respects men, to which she replies that she does.

We had three kids and a cat. I cleaned litter boxes throughout each pregnancy. I also did the grocery shopping, yard work, honey do list, paid the bills and did the cooking for 99% of our marriage. She did the rest. It works for us.
What was so horrible? This was 2 years ago and around the time he was ill-—I’m not sticking up for the guy but what was so egregious?

A lot of that behavior is nothing short of mental abuse.

No it’s not cool and like I said he’s a jerk. But what sort of person would video a private marital fight then paste it up on the internet? If she wanted to prove emotional abuse at the divorce proceeding then fine play it there. Who puts their private business up on the internet like that?
Yes, you don't know when the security camera recorded this video and if she had yet made a decision to divorce him.
We have no idea what led up to this or the context. To pass judgment on Crowder based on this short video is irresponsible. For Hillary Crowder to release this video is dirty pool.

It would not shock me if he can be difficult. Creative types are the vast majority of the time. So what, it comes with the territory. He has not chosen to make his divorce public - others are trying to smear him with this stuff.
