I understand that. Personally, I don’t mind people who make their living that way. If there wasn’t a market for it, they wouldn’t be able to do it!
I've been a Crowder fan but his last two debacles (Daily Wire and abusive husband) were a bridge too far.
You know more about him than I do. I’ve only watched a few clips of his show.
But, I just found videos of the doctors talking with him about his condition and the surgery:
https://www.theblaze.com/shows/louder-with-crowder/crowder-i-am-getting-heart-surgery-part-1-and-2
Assuming those videos are real, I have to believe he had a sunken chest that was affecting his heart.
Wondering how much the ring camera video and other stories will affect his show now...
Based on replies to my comment, I see I should have posted “the use of the word conservative”. I did not mean to obfuscate.
Yes, but we do know the context of Crowders remarks when he knew what was coming. He sounded as arrogant and narcissistic as he did when speaking to his wife. Taking no blame for anything and flat out lying about his “love” for her.
This person has a reputation for this kind of behavior which you can easily find on the web. he treats others just like he treats his wife.
And he is berating his wife, 8-months pregnant with twins’ no less, while lounging on the patio and smoking a cigar. His “diminished” heart capacity must not be that bad if he can smoke and go to the gym.
And telling her she should call an Uber to go grocery shopping because he doesn’t want to be “boxed in” without a car because he wants to go to the gym, visit his friends and family.
What kind of loving husband and father would expect his 8-month pregnant wife to have to use an Uber to go grocery shopping and why do they only have one car except for him wanting to control her movements?
FWIW, I’ve used an Uber a few times, but I was aware situationally aware and prepared knowing how dangerous it can be and I was not 8 months pregnant at the time, being that being heavily pregnant could make a woman very vulnerable getting into a car with a stranger.
This is controlling and verbally and emotionally abusive behavior on his part.
Where she keeps telling him that she loves him and then he said, “I don’t love you”. Heartbreaking.
And yet he claims he doesn’t understand why his wife filed for divorce and he doesn’t think she should be able to as he thinks it is for no reason and shouldn’t be allowed.
He's been a great voice for conservatives but lately become mean and insulting. My problem is he's doubling down on victimhood, everybody is "picking" on him. To save his reputation, he needs to man up.
To tell your pregnant wife “I’ll f*** you up” is beyond just anger. Normal couples argue but abusers threaten. Control freaks tell their spouse what their “duties” are. He needs help. He claims to be a Christian, I don’t see it.
He does come across as mean sometimes, at least in the clips I’ve watched of his show, but so do other political commentators, including the ones who are criticizing Crowder.
I agree that he’s playing the victim when clearly he’s not a victim here. But, I’ve watched that ring cam video a few times now. His words to his wife were horrible - no question there - and his comments about the divorce on his show sound narcissistic. But, the wife’s family’s comment about his surgery lost me, unless it turns out he faked those videos with the doctors.
Crowder used the term "retard" when talking about Down syndrome Barbie. I can't think of anyone else except a lefty that would do that. His "humor" no longer aligns with his professed Christian beliefs and I can't get past it.
I didn’t like that comment, either. It was cruel.
I am going to give it back to Steven.
Why is Steven Crowder a pirates’ dream?
Because he has a sunken chest.
The irony is that, according to the wife's family, he's the one who wanted a divorce. They claim he did not attend the birth of his twins, moved out of the family home, hired a divorce lawyer, and asked his assistant to cut his wife off financially. The wife contacted her own divorce lawyer and filed first. The family's statement was a response to comments Crowder made about the divorce on his show claiming the wife wanted the divorce and he did not. Who knows who's telling the truth, but on that show, he commented that he "picked wrong." I'm sure the wife and her family didn't appreciate that remark. A nasty divorce has turned into a war now.
For the sake of clarity Crowder wasn't there for the birth because he scheduled his surgery for the same time.
Btw, his wife also has Guillain Barre.
The more I think about it, it’s a classic case of success changing people, and obviously whatever alignment those two had when they got married, got out of whack because of it.
Some people can’t handle having a megaphone.
My wife got nothing but tender loving care when she was 8 months in, which is probably the case with most fathers on this forum. Crowder’s a dick.
I keep coming across conflicting information.
Supposedly, his surgery took place in July, and she gave birth in August. At first, I thought he wasn’t present for the birth because he was recovering from surgery or because his lung had collapsed.
But, the source at the top of this thread claims he and his wife texted each other the night before the birth, and she texted that she’s afraid of him and his rage. The next day, she had a c-section, and he “was absent when the twins were born,” but instead “met their newborn twins later that day at the hospital.”
If true, it sounds like they were already breaking up. How sad for the children...
Awww, that’s so sweet... Wish all husbands treated their pregnant wives with TLC.
And he didn't have heart surgery, they put rods in his rib cage. They never touched his heart. Or lungs.
His wifes sister is on Twitter. Apparently she has a lot to say, such as he's trying to force his wife to sign an NDA and when his wife was paralyzed from Guillain Barre and in the hospital for several weeks, he visited for a total of 2 hours. Such a nice man!
