How’s that different from any other sugar?

A doctor told me HFCS is 14 times more fattening than the comparable amount of sugar as sweetening.
HFCS does something at the cellular level that makes the body absorb and/or retain sugar, or produce fat. Not a doctor or bio-chem here, so I don’t know the specifics.
However, you can see the obesity epidemic in our population since HFCS has been put in all our packaged and bottled products. Other countries have banned or restricted HFCS.
Spent time in Spain recently. They don’t allow HFCS in the country. Felt like I ate my way through the days including wonderful desserts. Came home with less weight and loose clothes. Trying to cut out the HFCS here...it’s in everything. No fat people in Spain either.
