Makes me feel better. I don’t recall exactly what year I got the polio vaccine, around 1963, but it was the oral kind—a sugar cube with pink stuff on it.

You’ll probably put some of the weight back on eventually. I had trouble gaining mine back some of it is grief and not wanting to cook for just one person.
I got the FEMA payment also. I spent it on the people who helped me survive my covid nightmare. Bought them new recliners and mattresses, stuff I knew they needed.

A very great number of people have perfusion issues which can render those miracle pulse oximeters worthless. Even if their fingers are simply cold the numbers can be skewed greatly. Using a pulse ox reading to justify an intubation is in my opinion a mortal sin. A blood gas is absolutely an imperative, and the Oxygen level is not the most important value. The Ph and CO2 are what is needed to determine ‘respiratory failure.’ Recall Ventilation is the NUMBER ONE LIFE FUNCTION. Low Oxygenation levels are normally quickly contended with in most cases without intubation.
I have personally witnessed Doctors intubating patients without ever having obtained an ABG. This is for me difficult to accept. A low O2 level does not always itself justify intubation. People do not appreciate that which is understandable but ought to be explained. A pulse oximeter is cool and flashy, but really has no place in determining a need for intubation. An ET CO2 (measured exhaled CO2) provides much more valuable data.

What a lovely thing to do. Since our medical “experts” have completely failed us in the last 3 years, it’s probably wise to begin to rely on each other in these emergencies. The authorities have proven they’ll put their own success, enrichment and careers ahead of the sick. It feels like we’re on our own out here, so all we have left is each other.
Quick update on my trying to redpill a couple coworkers late last Friday.
So far so good. No sudden trips that I had to take to HR, and although the two were pretty quiet for a couple days (one is a newer guy that sits next to me), I think they’ll eventually ask some questions. At that point I’ll let them know there’s at least five other people in the area that are all at various stages of comprehending what’s going on.
I was at an after-work outing today with a couple of the experienced red-pilled coworkers (we’ll call them Billy & Bob for clarification), and a couple of former coworkers (likewise Jim & Joe). While luckily we were all right side conservatives, I brought in a couple of my link flyers there for people to do their own followup research. Whenever I was able to toss in some redpill comments to bring Jim & Joe into the fold, I asked Billy & Bob to help answer the questions so I didn’t appear to be doing the “conspiracy theorist” lecturing.
I’m pretty sure we made an impact that they’ll follow up on. Joe made a comment about Bush doing a fairly decent job handling Desert Storm with Iraq. Before I could say much, Billy & Bob were quickly throwing flags on the play and letting Joe know he needed to look at the flyer and do the research.
So far I’m pretty sure I have at least 17+ confirmed red pills on the side of the cockpit so far, with at least another 20 hopefully from flyer distributions (if only a little bit). I’m behind where I’d like to be redpilling wise in a lot of respects, but sometimes you have to acknowledge that a lot of people may not say anything but that doesn’t mean they’re not at least following what information you provide.
For me the “wow” has worn off - ive been at Here We Go Again with these type tweets for a while
The one thing you find out when you go through something like this is who really cares and who doesn't. It becomes part of your grief when some turn their back on you, another loss to grieve.
