Firing Tucker was Fox’s “Bud Light” moment.
Do the ratings tell you how many people turned off the TV or changed the channel before the show was over?
Tucker’s Fox contract expires at the end of THIS YEAR 2023.
Yes.
If the ratings company has interactive tracking boxes in the home, it will “poll” periodically. Some boxes track channel changes.
So, the answer to your question is…sometimes. Often you will see “average viewers” or something like that. That means they take the average of the “polls” and give you a number.
For those tracked by”click”, they want to see who watches commercials. Those boxes are pretty rare.
Trump could speculate; “I wonder if he’s learned enough to be considered for Vice President?”, just to explode all the right heads... ;-)
So you’re not only anti-Trump you’re also anti-Tucker? Hmm...
Interesting. I had read that he had 2 more years on the contract which would be paid, but there is a lot of noise out there. I can’t find it now, may have been untrue.
Subsequently, I’ve learned that he was actively negotiating a contract through 2029.
And I’ve learned that if he was fired for cause (which I think is a stretch), he wouldn’t be paid for anything beyond his last broadcast.
Do you have a link to verify your statement? I can’t find anything.
Thanks FRiend.
“Tucker would be against Putin now if he had paid attention to President Reagan in the 80’s instead of getting high and going to Grateful Dead concerts.”
Where were you in ‘82?
Dominion counting machines?
Getting ready to work on President Reagan’s re-election campaign.
Yes. He was negotiating a 6 year extension before he got fired. The fired for cause question will be clearer soon I expect.
They are ripe for some competition however.
I had hopes with Rumble being a viable alternative but they are still heavily focused on politics.
Most people in America are sick of politics all the time.
We need music, entertainment, documentaries, and a lot of other original content.
Very unlikely....small audience, “fringe”, and not enough revenue to pay him.
Indeed. Jones couldn't afford to pay him 1/10th of his Faux Gnus salary. Not even if the billion and a half $ judgements against him are overturned on appeal and the bankruptcy is satisfied.
The only way I can see Carlson as being more than an occasional guest on Infowars is if Tucker figures he has enough money to retire and wants to send a giant "FU" to the 'establishment'.
I am conservative. Trump has never been. And Tucker is an east coast elite asshole.
Hard to believe that Tucker is older than Alex. If they link up they better get out of Austin!
Don’t know if Tucker is that corruptible, but you never know when it comes to money.
If they let me say whatever I wanted and offered me 50 million a year…
