That would be CDR Lou Conter, an “Enlisted Pilot”, who celebrated his 100th birthday last Autumn.

My sister was able to attend. Lou Conter was my Dad’s co-pilot in the PBY days at Rabaul in the SW Pacific.

I was just thinking about the two last week, and wondered how he and Lou were still doing. Thus I had looked them up, but I didn't see anything new.

Thank you so much for posting this. He passed away on April 21st. The thread was posted on the 24th, but I only saw this earlier today, after sit-rep's post this morning, which was only the 12th comment.

Some years back, I discovered that "Aloha" [אלוהה] only appeared in the Bible in one place, and even there it was written in reverse, as a letter string:

Another funny thing...

The Hebrew acronym for the United States (Artzot HaBrit, "lands of the covenant") is ארה"ב.

Using the same rules and formula, an acronym for the Ark of the Covenant (Aron HaBrit) would be the same: ארה"ב.

Of course, if that were the case, people might see the Ark of the Covenant [ארה"ב] and see the United States.
