BANDITS have stolen almost two tons of gold worth a whopping £80million from an airport in one of the world's biggest-ever heists.
The gold, which was being held in a secure facility, was in the process of being moved through Toronto Pearson International Airport.
But crafty crooks somehow managed to intercept the swag that weighed a hulking 1,630kg.
The airport is often relied on to transport gold that has been mined in Ontario to bling lovers around the world.
Police are now desperately searching for the masterminds behind the extraordinary heist.

Are you referring to the Alpha Caper? Great movie, but they did not get away with it. Time will tell with this one. Very hard to fence that gold. All bars enumerated, that makes it difficult to move on the black market.
Two tons would be easy to move in a facility that is in the business of moving cargo.
A fork lift and a medium size box truck and your out the gate.
Drive the truck to a near by warehouse. Load the gold to a different container and transfer the crate to a different truck.
Falsify a bill of lading Incase you get stopped by the DOT and go down the road.
