A cheese spread comes in the shape of a ball served with crackers, most often around Christmas in the U.S.
Shouldn’t this be celebrated closer to Christmas? It’s the only time of year I ever see them.

The cheeseball craze visited our household when I was a kid, followed by the fondue craze. Both passed quickly. Nobody knows what became of the fondue dish and those ridiculous forks. At least the cheeseballs didn’t require fancy utensils.
