The Kennedy family is reportedly backing President Biden over their own family member in the 2024 Democrat primary, CNN reported.
Multiple Kennedy family members signaled that they would not back Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in his bid for the Democrat nominee for president, according to interviews with CNN. Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime anti-vaccine activist, filed paperwork earlier this month to run in the 2024 primary and challenge Biden, who has yet to formally announce a reelection campaign.
Kennedy is expected to officially launch his campaign Wednesday in Boston.
“Which brother?” Chris Kennedy, who was a former candidate in the Illinois governor’s race, responded when asked by CNN what he thought of his brother’s bid for the White House.
“This is a difficult situation for me. I love my older brother Bobby. He has extraordinary charisma and is a very gifted speaker,” Rory Kennedy, the youngest child of Robert F. Kennedy, said to CNN. “I admire his past work as an environmentalist – because of him, we can swim in the Hudson. But due to a wide range of Bobby’s positions, I’m supporting President Biden.”
Former Maryland Lt. Governor Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, sister to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., told CNN that she will not talk about her brother’s bid. However, Kennedy Townsend, who now works in the Labor Department, has made her thoughts about her brother’s stances on vaccines clear, saying in an essay in Politico Magazine that he is part of “a misinformation campaign that’s having heartbreaking - and deadly - consequences.”
“It has been my difficult choice to put my principles ahead of my personal affections for the President which remain undiminished. Some members of my family agree with me and others do not. I bear them no ill will. Families can disagree and still love..."

Meh, fake drama. Incumbent presidents don’t lose their party primaries, it’s literally never happened once in all of U.S. history.
Seems likely this division among the Kennedys has to do with something deeper than everyday politics. The determining factor here is which Kennedys fall in line with their elite bloodline tradition, and which ones act against it.
Bobby Jr, like his father and his uncle, has broken away from the family tradition.

The primary system as important is relatively new—it is very possible that someone previously lost the majority of primary selected delegates and still did fine at the convention—I seem to have recollections of that happening.
Kennedy’s must be working closely with the Chinese to support Biden.
Sounds like a plus for RFK Jr. I never thought much of him until I read his book on Fauci.
I counted three Kennedys quoted in the article...not exactly the whole family.
lol, what? Bush went 51-for-51 (and Pat Buchanan 0 for 51) and won the national popular vote by fifty percentage points, and you're really citing 1992?

Bush came no where near a 50 point win in NH in ‘92. Pat was a weak second in ‘92 and a somewhat stronger but still weak second in ‘96, but that he was not completely blown out of the water in both years pointed to the weakness of the RINO.
Yes, RFK has an outside shot at the very most, but that he might start to cause Biden heartburn (or whomever is in charge of Biden) speaks volumes.
