I don’t think it’s reasonable to say that a company whose stock price has declined by $3 billion has suffered a $3 billion loss. Losses show up on income, revenue, debt and assets statements. The investors may have suffered $3 billion in losses, but not the company itself. Price does not equal value.
And I’m not saying this to defend InBev (the actual parent company). Rather, I’m disappointed to see that this is fake news.
