Agreed. And it is because it was never done for us. We were used as a means to make some pretty rotten people rich and powerful.

LOL. The “American empire” built American affluence post WW2. While you or your parents were buying two cars and a house your Russian counter parts were living in communal apartments and maybe sharing outdoor plumbing arrangements. The grass isn’t greener on the other side of the hill. Sorry.
