When I retired about 12 years ago I was able to listen to Rush every day without fail. I spent more time with him daily than with anybody else except my wife. What a great man he was. And yes, we really do need him now…..

I had that luxury too when I retired...

I still listen to talk radio but Bongino in Rush's local time slot just doesn't get it.....

I was thinking about Rush this morning. He just popped into my head as I drinking my coffee and it hit me how much we could use his clarity & wit right now. What would he make of all this insanity? The parodies alone would be priceless.

I was listening when Rush announce his stage 4 cancer. It was jolting. It seems like that was the beginning of a massive Ill wind that continues to this day. It was right after that Covid hit and l realized it was the one thing that could be used to take Trump out because no one could deny the country was doing great. We have never needed Rush more but he’s gone and there is no replacement. Even that evil prick Mitch had to be wary of Rush’s power.

Megadittos to what you said. I miss Rush. He was “Done Too Soon”. (Stolen from Neil Diamond)

Thank you for sharing this. I miss Rush very much. I was so brokenhearted on the day he passed. I knew we had lost a dear friend, and it just broke my heart. I mourned for days of his passing. There will never be another Rush Limbaugh. Thank God we had him while we did. He may be gone, but he’ll never be forgotten.

Lee Atwater. Like Rush we went downhill. It would be nice if there was someone out there with Rushs’ humor, one that gets America to laugh at liberals. Mark Davis comes to mind but his prayer openings are a bit naive. Rush would hit home and push buttons.

The day Rush died, I turned off my radio, and I haven't turned it on since then. I've seen no reason to turn it back on.

Rush Limbaugh was that once in a century amalgam of Ben Franklin and Mark Twain. Truly unique, he can't be replaced.

Oh my gosh. Just this morning I said to my husband that we needed Rush sooo badly and he's gone.

But Rush always said it's not time to panic and never ever give up. So let's pick ourselves up and make some noise. This is unacceptable what is going on. Be vocal.

Rush just had the perfect blend of humor, insight and ability to feel the country pulse. A lightning wit and uncanny perception. Just unique and his absence has hobbled us without a doubt.

No one can replace Rush but our new guys are doing their best to expose liberal evil...

I often listen to the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show - they’re not Rush but they get what’s happening and are starting to hit their stride. They’re good and on our side.

I started listening to Rush after a trip to Austin TX. I was reading their local commie rag newspaper, and came across an article which accused Rush of spewing hate. I knew what that meant: that Rush was saying the truth in a world that has criminalized the truth.

I listened to him regularly after that, whenever I was able to.

My hands are no longer nicotine-stained either, and the billowing clouds of cigar smoke have mostly subsided, and I can’t afford to tie half my brain (need it all) behind my back, but my memories of the words of wisdom from El Rushbo have not faded.

It was in late 1990 I first learned of Rush Limbaugh, as we were gearing up for the first Gulf war. My dear Aunt Mary in Virginia Beach turn me on to him, and it was the beginning of a love affair that lasted from then to this day. Like many others, when Rush Limbaugh passed I felt as though I had lost a best friend, one who’d been with me for so many integral parts of life. What an impact he had on the lives of many. So grateful and thankful to have been one whose life was positively impacted by our dear Mr. Rush Limbaugh.

Talent On Loan From God

Right from the very beginning, with Rush:

The first word of the Torah is Bereshith [בראשית], "In the beginning"

The first four letters spell [בראש] -- in/with [ב] Rush [ראש].

(Rush is spelled the same as r'osh, meaning head/beginning/top/chief, et al.)

Furthermore, ית- also functions as a diminutive suffix, so the replay of the day is that God created the Heavens and the Earth... in a little bit of a rush.

Lovable Little Fuzzball!

There are many commentaries pertaining to the multitude of word plays, allusions, and permutations in that very first word of the Torah, but this one is an FR exclusive.

Weekday’s at 12:06 pm ET is a time that will forever belong to Rush.

He is indeed missed, and I think of him often.

Well said.

Here was a playful, intelligent, kind man who was a true master of the radio broadcast art, and who used his skills to advance the freedom, awareness, and engagement of the common American.

His name, to me, is somewhat hallowed.

This is one reason why I still cringe when I see the sorry posts from “Nextrush” on this forum. It is a despicable handle.

Rush could say 'God' with more gravitas than any preacher I ever heard.

Miss him so much.....
