Hashem is Hebrew for the Name, G-d’s name, which is holy in Judaism and only said in prayer and Torah study:

Yep, sorta - "Ha Shem" just means "The Name," - except the name is never said, though attempts are made by fake wannabe "Messianic Jews," i.e., Christians who like to pretend to be Jews but who miss the point entirely.

This is the one rule of Jewry they seem to delight in breaking, perhaps considering themselves 'beyond equal' in their personal salvation and therefore especially qualified to offend actual Jews.

As a Hebrew speaker and religious Jew I delight in the many lessons I receive about Judaism from well-meaning Evangelical Christians.

Well-meaning, of course, even when they invariably, as has been the case throughout history, go full Torquemada.

Sometimes screwing you in business is the extent of the affair. It is harder to torture and burn people today, even if you really feel you need their money and property. Generally, a turn of the knife and a solemn I will pray for you will suffice to create the impression of self-absolution.

P.S. Don't forget "Yeshuah Ha'Melech" when speaking with a Christian who believes he is a Jew! They are, as the Romans say, legion around here.
