Nashville police have revealed the names and photos of the officers who shot and killed the transgender 28-year-old who killed six people, including three nine-year-olds, at a private school Monday.
Audrey Hale arrived at the Covenant School in her Honda Fit just before 10am and was killed by police less than 15 minutes after opening fire, killing six.
A spokesperson for the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department Monday night revealed that Officers Rex Engelbart and Michael Collazo were the members of the team who fired at Hale, ultimately killing her.
Collazo is a nine-year veteran of the Nashville police force, while Engelbart has served for four years.
Police say that officers rushed to The Covenant School, were able to get in and clear the building as they heard shots from the second floor.
Before she was taken down, Hale killed nine-year-olds Evelyn Dieckhaus, William Kinney and pastor's daughter, Hallie Scruggs.
Substitute teacher Cynthia Peak, 61, head of school Katherine Koonce, 60, and custodian Mike Hill, 61, were also killed.

We have to stop going along with this preferred pronoun nonsense. This is a woman, born a female, who wanted to be a man. So it wasn’t a window “he” had broken out, she broke it out. “He” wasn’t firing out the window, she was.

And another example of this police protocol is the Stephon Clark shooting in Sacramento where two officers emptied their pistols at Clark.
A total of twenty rounds were fired by the two officers.
Clark was shot eight times.
Six of those rounds hit him in the back.
Clark was unarmed.
The use of force was repeatedly justified by law enforcement and at no point did anyone question the officer’s decision to fire twenty rounds, emptying both pistols in the process.
“Sexy” does not apply to the trans terrorists. Every time I run into one of them they’re just wrong.

A wounded person with a gun can still aim and squeeze the trigger. The shooter must be “neutralized”.
My son was in a lockdown in October of 2021 due to an active shooter situation at Timberview High School. It was 45 minutes from his first text till SWAT cleared the room.

You’re using masculine pronouns. The dead shooter was a woman. She masqueraded as a “he.”
Well, the officers are trained to fire until the threat is eliminated. She was still moving on the ground and was not following commands to stop moving and reaching for the weapon - thus the officers fired. I have been an adjunct trainer for officers at Metro Nashville Police Department’s academy. I know one of the two officers that made contact with and eliminated the threat, having spoken with him within the last 45 days or so. I am very proud of how all these officers worked the rooms until they were better able to locate the shooter and then take care of situation. This is the complete opposite of the Texas school shooting debacle where we saw the officers standing around for far too long, at the cost of many lives.
As far as “... if you did it then those same cops would arrest you and drag you off to jail”: Not in Tennessee. Tennessee law requires that the first shot fired be justified. Follow-up shots are considered to be automatically justified. This is not to say you can stand over a downed bad guy and issue a coup-de-grace shot to the back of the head... It is written in this manner to protect someone that defended themselves from being “second-guessed” by those that weren’t there as witnesses. Those that would say “Well why did you have to shoot him so many times?” The ones that have never seen how many rounds a guy amped up on drugs and adrenaline can absorb before he finally goes down. After your self defense shooting, it would then come down to your state of mind (”in fear for my life”) and whether or not the D.A. believed you. We have many very good D.A.s in Tennessee once you get outside of the metro areas. The kind of D.A.s that side with those that defend themselves in righteous shootings, the kind that believe in the 2nd Amendment.

Pistol wounds do not normally cause instant incapacitation except on TV. (Rifle wounds are a different matter.) There is a phenomenon called “emotional fainting” whereby a person falls down when shot because his mind has been conditioned to do so. Many folks however do not even realize that they have been wounded and so keep fighting.
A “mag dump video” is a YouTube video showing someone, almost always cops, shooting a gun empty, usually because of stress response, and sometimes also because “it took that many shots to “stop” him. Cops continue shooting until the threat stops, which we all understand and justify, but the simple fact is that it takes time for a man to bleed enough that he forgets how to fight anymore.

That is total BS. I'm retired LE and military and in both career fields we were taught to fire two rounds to center mass, stop and make sure the world around us was a safe place, and to reassess and make sure the threat was in fact neutralized. The only time that changed was when we deployed to Afghanistan and we trained firing two rounds to center mass and one round to the head due to the potential of hostiles wearing body armor. This pertains to pistols. The minimum response for other weapon platforms is different. But mag dumps are not how we were trained in the past.
