Thanks, but no thanks Elon. Never had a Twitter account, never will, and I certainly wouldn’t pay for it, nor Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, etc. I tried Parler. When that went offline, I tried Gab. Didn’t really use either of them. I also tried Truth Social, but got rid of all three of them last year. Frankly, I don’t know what people see in those sites. I’d rather spend my spare time reading books, than wasting time looking at reposted crap.
Twitter is much more interesting than FreeRepublic. It distributes information incredibly fast.
You would make for good company and conversation in a bar.
