Google has lots of suggestions, including how-to videos and print articles.
Here's but one:

And by using corn they’ll probably need to deforest the rest of the world just to produce enough if even that. Genius!! (Insert massive sarcasm)
I’d always heard/read rumors/speculation that the Germans used synthetic fuels during WWII to keep their vehicles rolling. And that the Allies, supposedly, clamped down on the secret to keep the world dependent on bio-fuels.
So, if all that were true... Are TPTB finally relenting and letting the secret of cheap, synthetic fuels out by making them expensive and difficult to get in their brave new world? :-/
They can make gasoline through chemical reactions with atmospheric CO2 and water. Vegetable oil used in diesel engines is a good candidate also. Just like Rudolf Diesel used peanut oil in his first engines.
The Germans were burning wood (bio) while diesel and gasoline are derived from abiotic oil. (Calling them "fossil fuels" is an intentional misnomer used to sell the lie that there is a limited amount).
The wood fuels are less efficient, before even getting into scarcity in some regions and difficulty storing them. Coal is efficient although susceptible to humidity and can only be piped in short distances in a slurry.
Pipelines are the most efficient means of transporting liquid and vapor fuels. Tanker ships are far more efficient than rail cars or trucks but still have limitations.
And what do they mean by synthetic fuels that are carbon neutral?
Crops are grown using fertilizer that comes from petroleum and phosphate, both considered by liberals / consensus science to be non-renewable “fossil fuels”.
Great point.
> wood alcohol?
Whatever is determined to be the most expensive and inconvenient. Because reasons.
“12 years away is a long time for people to realize the error of their ways. “
With respect to nuclear power it is taking much longer than 12 years for them to realize the error of their ways.
e-Fuel is euro-code word for hydrogen mixed with CO2 previously captured from the twos-here. Of course it is drastically inefficient but then it isn’t supposed to work well.
I don’t disagree with you. Unfortunately the left has simply decided to mandate the shift from fossil to renewables and leave the details to the private sector which will be blamed for not delivering.
This is a story about the EU plans for ICE vehicles and synth fuels...”
I read the impetus was coming from Porsche.
Oil is as natural as trees.
It will take three gallons of fuel to produce 1 gallon but hey. It is government maffs so they will make up for it in volume.
