Just say “CHEESE, PLEASE!”...................
This article conflates American cheese with American “Cheese food”. Real American cheese slices aren’t going anywhere.
The best grilled cheese sandwich possible still requires white bread, butter and American cheese. A cup of hot tomato soup doesn’t hurt, either.
NEVER buy SINGLES!
Put a piece of Kraft cheese on your favorite bread, and BROIL til brown and puffy!! DELICIOUS and FAST !

EXACTLY how I make them.
Uh oh!
Now you’ve done it!

Kraft singles are in fact an entire food group.
In before the Monty Python cheese shop skit.
Nonsense. Use bacon grease to make your grilled cheese. Or when making a BLT.
My dogs love it!!!

Same here!!
My dogs can hear that plastic wrapper from miles away.
There is a difference between American cheese, and “pasteurized processed cheese food”. American cheese is great, the latter is some kind of weird emulsification of industrial lubricants and yellow dye.
Somebody give me a Cheeseburger!

Tuna melt, fried ham and cheese, grilled cheese, on a burger, … good stuff.
For my Texas charcuterie I use sharp cheddar for that more exotic ambiance. A little rolled up lunchmeat ham, some cut up baloney chunks, a sliced up apple and Mexican Gamesa Saladita brand crackers. (Like premium saltines before the recipe change)
And also, what’sa millennial?
