They only suffer suspicion it is a vet visit, and howl the whole time.
300 kilometers is about 180 miles. This does not reach epic level for me.

Epic? 300 kilometers is less than 200 miles.
To a European, 100 miles is a long way.
To North Americans, 100 years is a long time.

When I was in college, there was a lady in the neighborhood that was known as the cat lady. I thought we would adopt a kitten so one day I went over and she gave us the tour of the house on the way to a back bedroom where the new kittens were.
On the way down the hall, and I will never forget this, we passed a bedroom that for some reason had a long dining room table in it, and no other furniture. It must have been 15-20 Siamese cats in it - no other type of cats - JUST Siamese. They were all glaring out the door as they sat motionless on the table in near darkness.
As we passed the room, the cat lady looked back at us and said, “what ever you do, DON’T go in that room. JUST ... DONT!
She was deadly serious. It was like a scene in a movie.
