A Minneapolis, Minnesota middle school teacher took to TikTok to praise her students for having “no respect for authority” and recommend Marxist teachings in the classroom.
Highland Park Middle School science teacher Mandi Jung's TikTok profile is full of videos advertising resources and tips for other teachers, including how to teach Marxism and anti-capitalism, Fox News reports.
In one post, the Saint Paul district teacher said, "My students this year have no respect for authority. And I love that in a person because I have no respect for authority whatsoever."
She went on to complain of the impact of her "no respect" approach, saying, "But it has been a frustrating year because I am the authority. So I'm like, 'Damn the man, but I am the man.'"
One of the resources Jung shared on social media was Marxist political cartoon that read "Capitalism. We rule you. We fool you. We shoot at you. We eat for you."
According to Jung, who teaches lessons in biology, the scientific consensus taught to children about cells are part of "capitalist indoctrination."
"Seventh grade science… [is] the year that you learn that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell and all this cell biology," the teacher said. "So at the end of the unit, I have [students] take a test. And one of the questions is 'A person says the nucleus is the most important organelle in the cell. Do you agree or disagree, and why?"
"And almost every child says, 'Yes, I agree. Because without a boss, the cell would be in total chaos,'" she continued.
Jung went on to describe how that answer "cracks [her] up," then called bacteria the "original anarchists" compared to cells with nuclei.
"Bacteria don't have a nucleus, and they are arguably one of the most successful classes of organisms on the planet. Bacteria out here being the original anarchists, right?," she said, before making puns based on Marxist ideology.
"No nucleus, no master. Seize the means of metabolism. I don't know. It's funny to me," she said.
When Fox released its report, Jung responded on Instagram with "Well, they managed to make me look like the most fun and coolest teacher ever lol."
In a statement to the outlet, Saint Paul Public Schools defended their employee, saying, "As a general rule, public employees, as citizens, have the right to personally comment on matters of public importance without restriction or reprisal by their employer."
Horsecrap, she loves her Rat Masters.
The students should start with “her.”
somebody should clue her in
the commies are in charge
It’s depressing I have to share a planet with her.
It’s always Minneapolis.
She wants her students to have no respect for authority.
Yet a teacher is an authority figure in the classroom.
So does she want her students to have no respect for her?
You sure that’s not Miss Piggy in drag?
You have to be kidding. She/it actually gets paid?
Yes. She has never had the privilege of living under a government where disrespecting the authorities can actually make you disappear.
And those people she so admires were responsible for hundreds of millions of “disappears” in the 20th Century.
Who the heck is she kidding? Leftists like her ARE the establishment, and have been for decades.
And merely making a joke about the Authority could get you killed.
When that goes sideways can I get her to post my bail?
“No Respect for Authority”
Guess why prisons are full and the undertake always has work.
Is she even a woman?!
Yeah, I know.
Amen!!!!
Probably in cheeseburgers.
They’ve been in charge for a VERY long long time!
Give her a break. Fat ugly women have to have some way of drawing attention to themselves.
