I briefly taught at a prep school (also public school substitute teaching in Alameda and Contra Costa County, East Bay SF which was a horror show) when I was in grad school; even in the bad old days of the early 2000’s when Ron was teaching (I am about the same age) this was regarded as a big no-no, and was explicitly mentioned in orientation. I understand the inclination to orient towards people close to your own age and outlook but was always inappropriate and fraught with danger, and don’t think this won’t become a bigger issue should Ron become nominee (hopefully never).

Well, I guess there are different kinds of prep schools. I do admit that my years were 1975-82. The prep school dated back to the 18th century in Connecticut, and with a couple of dozen teachers and 250-320 students spanning seven grades and half the students living in dormitories with a teacher/admin as the Dorm Master, avoiding fraternization would be anti-social. The worst problem wit it I saw was that sometimes the junior/senior co-eds would be too friendly with married male teachers in their 20s. (Prep schools do NOT pay well. They also don't require Ed Degrees.) Maybe things are different in California, or different 20 years later.
