After the deadly riots in the 1986 Champions League (European Cup) finals, British soccer fans were banned from traveling to games outside the country for a few years.

German ultras were better behaved for a while, but apparently not anymore.

Same for the Dutch ultras (Feyenoord fans vandalized the Rome City center a couple years ago).

I suppose a small percentage of rioters are there in any crowd of any nationality. Alcohol plays a big role.
