Plus when they're ready to eat, they die quickly. Can't say as much for many humans and many of the animals in the wild. There is absolutely nothing cruel about using chicken eggs. I have had backyard chickens for years and they have never had any problems with us taking their eggs. Chickens have been bred for egg laying. They lay way more eggs than they could ever hope to have fertilized. It is thousands of years too late to change that.
