It would be interesting to be there to see if it is Scotty who beams him up.

When you read the article you find out it’s a clickbait headline. Shatter just made a general statement given his advanced age.

Shatner and Thomas Sowell. I hope I’m still as active and quick-witted when I reach their ages.
I’m convinced that staying active (and working, if you must) and having things to live for and look forward to helps to keep us fit and sharp into advanced age.
I could be wrong about that. But that’s where I’m hanging my hat!

I was a Spock fan during the series. After it was over, I became a Shatner fan. A decent human being. Truly hope his time on this earth isn’t short.

Well he is 91. But is he referring to more immediate concerns?

When I was a kid I used to watch TOS re-runs and cringe at Shatner’s over-acting - yeah, it was bad enough for a kid to recognize it. Now I see the actors on all of the many, many un-testosterone’d Star Trek spin-offs and I wish Shatner was 60 years younger.

At ninety one, you wouldn't expect to be around much longer - that's just being realistic.
I'm 65, and understand I don't have 30+ years left, maybe 20.
At least I know where I'm going when I die.
