I thought one of the features of American Idol was that at least some of the judges were “brutally honest” with the contestants. I guess that viewer-generating ploy is running up against the stone wall of Snowflake culture.

I thought one of the features of American Idol was that at least some of the judges were “brutally honest” with the contestants. Simon Cowell could get away with it - he was the entertaining Voice of Britain sneering at the incompetent.
Katy Perry just comes across as what she is.
