The Napoleon complex has been scientifically proven.
New research published in the journal Personality and Individual Differences suggests that people who are relatively short and unhappy about it may engage in antagonistic behaviors in an attempt to offset their height disadvantage.
The researchers used Amazon’s Mechanical Turk, a crowd-sourcing site, to recruit 367 adults, a mix of men and women from the US, for the study.
The participants were asked to complete the Dirty Dozen Dark Triad questionnaire, which is designed to assess levels of psychopathy, narcissism and Machiavellianism — a personality trait defined as being manipulative, cynical and lacking in morality.
They were then asked to list their height and divulge if they were satisfied with their height or wished they were taller

I forgot about him, I think the shortest GOP politician in my lifetime was John Tower of Texas.
Soooo, unhappy people do bad things. Wow! Brilliant! This must have been done by a recent graduate of a Psych school — pre JPeterson.
Dr. Fauci gives a bad name to gardens gnomes everywhere.
Well, actually, Gingers are people, but only when they’re in groups with matching uniforms. But that’s also when they become a danger to society.
Racist?

Racist?
Yeah whatever, people are people. However, this study doesn’t cite the multiple studies that have repeatedly and empirically demonstrated that taller people are far and away get the promotion and have many societal benefits. Ever see a shorter lead character? You know how the weak person is almost always portrayed in commercials or on screen? Typically as a short, usually pudgy, and almost always bald or balding.
I’m not bald, balding or fat, but if any of you disagree with me I’ll beat the snot out of ya’!
“They were then asked to list their height and divulge if they were satisfied with their height or wished they were taller”
I’d say this is poor methodology, since almost anyone who isn’t several inches above average will probably answer “yes” to this question, so it’s not very informative.
I knew there must be an explanation for my behavior ;-)
“Ever see a shorter lead character?”
Sure, just watch a Tom Cruise or Robert DeNiro movie.
Just put width=640 right before the final bracket and all will be well.
So, as a short white person, do I qualify for special consideration under ADA? And I’m over 60 as well.
“if they were satisfied with their height or wished they were taller”
If they have to fly regularly on today’s sardine cans calling themselves airplanes they might disagree.
;-)
I resemble that remark!! But what sets me apart from the so called norm, is I have control!!
You can use HTML to downsize images.
Most images has data on their size, but if they are too big, you can add width=500 after the second quotation marks and the end carrot.
< img src=“image address” width=500 >
And that will down size it, only without the spaces.
Good catch.
I plead guilty to height supremacy.
It’s true.
OTOH, the harassment and abuse they have to deal with their whole lives I’m sure feeds into that.
