Agree.
During the big, TX freeze, a few years ago....we DID have power, due to the generator, thankfully, but...no internet/tv.
I pulled out the clunky, old dvr player and the kid’s old DVDs, for the grands.
Daughter and I got a good laugh out of the grands watching us ‘fast forward’ through the ‘upcoming attractions’ ads! Remember those?
And, the kids thought it was great to be able to rewind. They’d never seen that feature, until then.
And, yes....books come first...and, they ALWAYS work, when there’s no internet, or...power (with back up lights :)

Yes I named her when I saw her personality after a few days peeping in every window I have in my house wherever I was inside, she was looking in!
So peepers is how I named her,ha!
Funny how it takes a few times to be around one and I just can see a name that fits them. :)
